Architectural Design Brief
To provide a four bedroom one and a half storey new home on brownfield land in the heart of Lowdham. The site was formerly a Stonemason’s workshop, but the dilapidated barns were in need of replacement. Therefore, the site was repurposed as residential use, to suit the village characteristics, and additionally the changing needs of the site owner. As a stonemason, looking to retire, where better to set up a new home than the place where he had enjoyed a lifelong career as a stonemason. As a result, the new home was crowned with its new name the ‘Stonemasons House’.
