Traditional Home Design – Self Build Project
Case Study: Traditional new build home in Newark on Trent for a self build client. Architectural designs by Paul Day BSc (Hons) MCIAT of PD Architecture.
A sympathetic traditional architectural design was adopted for this self-build dwelling. Sitting in a conservation area, the design was embellished with bags of character inside and out.
Architectural Design Brief:
This self build home was sited in the centre of the conservation area, and opposite the village church. So a sensitive design approach was essential for this building project. The completed design successfully provided a sympathetic aesthetic to meet the demands of the planning office.
The Building plans were drawn up to provide a five bedroomed self build traditional family property.
Location: Balderton, Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire
