Home Extension in Long Benington
One of our latest project completions. The brief was clear: create a bright, open-plan space that connects cooking, dining, and relaxation into one cohesive environment. By reworking the layout and relocating the kitchen, we were able to unlock the full potential of the home’s footprint—introducing a seamless flow between the kitchen, living, and dining areas.
The result is a beautifully balanced interior that feels both expansive and intimate. A newly introduced vaulted ceiling elevates the volume of the space, enabling the installation of large rooflights that flood the interior with natural light throughout the day. This dramatic increase in daylight enhances the sense of openness while drawing the eye upward, creating a striking architectural feature in its own right.
At the heart of the design is the kitchen itself—elegant, refined, and undeniably striking. Brass detailing has been used throughout, from fixtures to lighting, introducing a subtle richness that elevates the overall palette. These metallic accents catch the light beautifully, adding depth and a quiet sense of luxury.
One of our favourite features is the mirrored splashback behind the hob. Not only does it reflect light and amplify the sense of space, but it also creates a dynamic visual focal point—bringing a contemporary edge to the design while maintaining a timeless feel.
The open-plan arrangement ensures that the kitchen is no longer a separate, functional zone, but the true centrepiece of the home. Whether cooking, entertaining, or simply unwinding, the space supports a more connected way of living.
This project is a celebration of detail, proportion, and lifestyle—where every element has been carefully considered to enhance both aesthetics and practicality. It’s a space designed not just to be admired, but to be enjoyed every day.
