Architectural Blog:
CHARTERED PRACTICE STATUS.
So, what is a CIAT Chartered Practice?
A CIAT Chartered Practice is a protected title. The CIAT designation is assigned to architectural practices that employ or are operated by qualified Chartered Architectural Technologists. Chartered Architectural Technologists have to pass a rigorous professional assessment in order to offer their services.
As PD Architecture is a CIAT Chartered Practice, you can be assured we are therefore highly qualified and highly skilled. We offer architectural design services and manage architectural and construction projects from inception through to completion.
Accordingly, we also hold the relevant professional indemnity insurances for all our architectural projects.
So if you’re looking for inspiration from the project outset, high quality architectural designs for your project, or professional services right through to the on-site inspections in order to satisfy the funding arrangements of your bank and/or the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML); here at PD Architecture we have a highly specialised service to suit all residential projects, delivered by our highly qualified and capable personnel.
Paul Day BSc (Hons) MCIAT, (the principal at PD Architecture and full member of CIAT), oversees and signs off all of the design work leaving our office to his exacting standards. Paul holds a First-Class Honours Degree in Construction Technology and Management, an HNC in Building Studies, an HNC in Civil Engineering and a National Diploma in Construction combining over 11 years of industry specific study, qualifications and assessments with over 25 years design and supervision experience on projects large and small, from the traditional to the modern and has been leading the way in the integration of green technologies since the ‘noughties’. (Our Eco-Home project in Nottingham won the ‘Best New Small Housing Development’ at the LABC East Midlands Regional Awards on 2014, and qualified as a finalist in the LABC National Awards).
Additionally, our experience and approach allows us to provide architectural services to a vast array of clients: Private Homeowners, Architects, Developers, Self-Builders, Landlords and even (in unfortunate cases) Receivers. We can therefore tailor our architectural services to any needs you may have. (Budgetary constraints, high specification finishes, value engineering, sustainable designs the list goes on).
Furthermore, you can also find out more about our new build, extension, conversion and self-build services at www.pd-architecture.co.uk. Feel free to use the contact forms on our website to drop us a line.
