ANOTHER LIVE APPLICATION: Commercial Planning Application.
A rare commercial architectural project for us, we are still waiting to hear news about our planning application for a new 4,000sq.ft. Convenience Store in Woodthorpe/Arnold Nottingham . . . the site runs alongside one of our residential development sites and would certainly bring a much needed provision to service the local area. Likewise, the store would also undoubtedly benefit from the passing trade on the busy through route; securing what could potentially be a well used community provision.
The proposals so far include for:
– 13 car parking spaces (while including 2 Disabled Spaces and 1 Mother and Child Space).
– A well screened ‘Plant Area’ with Sound Attenuation, i.e. Acoustic Boxes and ‘Low Noise’ plant items
– A new site access coupled with a new right turn lane into the the site for additional highway safety
– Further highway safety proposals include the new pedestrian guarding at the sites ingress and egress points
Additionally, to reduce servicing requirements (and limit HGV journeys) and to prevent unnecessary disturbance, waste will be back hauled (using the delivery vehicles to return to the depot with all waste generated at the site).
